Today's Thought

"The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' (I found it!) but 'That's funny...'" --Isaac Asimov |
Trolls. Neighbors. And stranger things. Creatures long forgotten
or vanished are resurfacing. The trolls have declared war, more
or less. And Richard Withers' worst fear has
been confirmed: the world is out to get him. Upon discovering
that his elderly neighbor is really a spy assigned to monitor
him, he flees his home town, and is soon embroiled in a dizzying
chain of abductions, criminal encounters, meetings with people
of dubious sanity and a growing sense that his search for answers
may never reach fruition.
Alice Rashugan is
the luckiest person alive, but now she is being pursued by person
or persons unknown. Her past turns out to be a great deal less
peaceful than she had thought, and those seeking her will stop
at nothing (except stepping in front of an oncoming freight train.
No one is that crazy) to stop her from discovering anything further.
Others are
becoming aware. Something has gone wrong, and those responsible
will be in hot water if they don't fix it before someone connects
the dots.
